Nausikaa

Asteroid 192, Nausikaa, was discovered on February 17, 1879 by Johann Palisa at Pula, Croatia. Nausikaa has a period of 3 years, 265 days and is 103.26 kilometers (slightly more than 64 miles) in diameter.

It was named for a character from Homer's Odyssey, Nausikaa, daughter of King Alcinous of Phaeacia. Nausikaa encountered Odysseus, who, after his ship had been wrecked, had washed up on the shore where Nausikaa and her girlfriends were playing after having done some laundry; and brought him into town so her father could give him some help.

Astrologically, Nausikaa seems to indicate hospitable, friendly, open without intimacy or closeness.
