Tape

Asteroid 12158, Tape, was discovered on September 29, 1973 by C. J. van Houten and Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld on Palomar Schmidt plates taken by Tom Gehrels at Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 5 years, 76 days.

It was named for American mathematician and atmospheric-halo expert Walter "Walt" Tape (born 1941).

The astrological meaning of asteroid Tape seems to be what its name might suggest: tape, recording, "caught on tape".
