Asteroid 2100, Ra-Shalom, an Aten asteroid, was discovered on September 10, 1978 by Eleanor F. "Glo" Helin at Palomar Observatory near Pauma Valley, California. It has a period of 277 days and is a little more than 2 miles in diameter.
Its name combines the name of the Egyptian god Ra with the Hebrew word shalom (peace), and refers to the 1978 Camp David peace accords between Israel and Egypt, which were brokered by then-US President Jimmy Carter.

Jonathan Dunn reports that it seems to have something to do with healing, patching up or wanting or attempting to heal or patch up deep divisions or conflicts.
The glyph for Ra-Shalom is mine and combines the solar-disk symbol representing the god Ra with an olive branch, symbol of peace.
