Napier

Asteroid 7096, Napier, was discovered on November 3, 1992 by Robert H. McNaught at Siding Spring Observatory near Coonabarabran, New South Wales, Australia. It has a period of 4 years, 225 days and is about 4 1/6 miles in diameter.

It was named for British astronomer and author William M. (Bill) Napier (born 1940).

Astrologically, asteroid Napier seems to indicate ending and beginning, "one door closes and another opens," scandal, finding trouble.

The glyph for Napier is mine and refers to Bill Napier's advocacy of the theory of coherent catastrophism, in which Earth might be bombarded by meteorites causing widespread destruction coming from a cometary nucleus passing very close to, but not hitting, Earth.
