Mandragora


Asteroid 22280, Mandragora was discovered on February 12, 1985 by Hubert Debehogne at the European Southern Observatory. It has a period of 5 years, 110 days and is a little over 6 miles in diameter.

It was named for a genus of plant belonging to the nightshade family known commonly as mandrakes, which figures into European folk magick.
