Asteroid 2989, Imago, was discovered on October 22, 1976 by Paul Wild at Zimmerwald Observatory in Wald, Bern canton, Switzerland. It has a period of 3 years, 128 days and is 3 3/4 miles in diameter.

Its name is the Latin word for image.

Astrologically, asteroid Imago seems to have the influence "we've seen enough"; or, images, imagery, something fully formed or conceived.
